Your practice, connected
You do not need to relocate to support people in the diaspora. Keep living and practising where you are while offering eligible remote therapy, mental-health care, or cultural coaching to people who are looking for the language, context, and lived understanding you bring.
Therapy and clinical mental-health care are offered only where your active credentials, insurance, and the client's physical location permit. Coaching remains non-clinical and is available across borders only where permitted.

Transparent economics
Our standard platform fee is 25%. Every fourth qualifying completed one-to-one session in the same care relationship has no platform fee. That makes the effective rate 18.75% across each four-session cycle.
Based on 52 sessions in an average 4.33-week month. Taxes, refunds, and practitioner expenses are not deducted.

Compliance & independence
Omkin provides infrastructure and a verified network. It does not become the employer, clinical supervisor, tax adviser, or licensing authority for your independent practice.

You remain responsible for national, federal, state, and local income tax, self-employment tax, VAT or GST where applicable, social contributions, registrations, invoicing duties, and other obligations in your residence and tax jurisdictions. Omkin provides payment and payout records; it does not provide tax advice.
Therapists serve only locations covered by active credentials and insurance. Coaches deliver non-clinical guidance under Omkin’s boundary agreement. Location, credential, and service eligibility are rechecked before care proceeds.

Our care team reviews identity and scope, checks jurisdiction eligibility, and confirms completion of the platform safety orientation. Complex or external checks may take longer.

Common questions
Client payments are processed through Stripe. Eligible completed-session earnings are included in automated weekly transfers to your connected bank account, subject to processor verification, settlement timing, refunds, and applicable reserves.
Yes. You may invite existing clients where your professional obligations, consent duties, and local rules permit. Any reduced-fee arrangement must be shown in your written Omkin terms before those clients book.
The cancellation window and practitioner protection are shown before booking. Omkin applies the recorded terms consistently, while documented exceptions can be reviewed through support.
Omkin’s platform protections do not replace professional indemnity or malpractice cover. You must maintain the insurance required for your track, services, and jurisdictions and keep evidence current.
